What can you do with VHF frequencies beyond repeaters? A whole lot! Dale operates on all of the VHF-and-up frequencies, starting at 50 MHz, through microwave and including light. Come learn about all the amazing things you can do on the higher bands.

AN INTRODUCTION TO PORTABLE SATELLITE OPERATIONS

This is a perfect follow-on to the previous forum on VHF operation! Sit back and enjoy an introduction and overview to working the amateur satellites with minimal equipment. Satellites greatly extend the range of VHF and UHF communications, and can be used with small antennas. Get you feet wet with equipment you probably have now. Learn how to find them, hear them, and work them.

TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR TRACKING DOWN RFI

Tony will discuss ways and means and tools and techniques for finding sources of radio frequency interference (RFI) and some ideas for resolving interference. His presentation will cover portable antennas and receivers for "the hunt" and the use of ferrites to reduce radiated emissions.

George will amaze us all with his collection of spy radios. These are quite small tranceivers using 1940's technology. He'll have some 5-6 units opened up for inspection, including radios used by the British and KGB.

Hamlog Online is a cloud platform providing multiple services and supporting different aspects of our hobby. From real-time online logging, managing multiple logs for different calls and locations, to support of special event operations, QSO parties and various award programs. The forum will include a demomstration of using HamLog Online.

PORTABLE HF OPERATION FOR PARKS AND FIELD DAY

Field Day is coming. So is the warm weather for park activations. Unfortunately, most Field Day operations focus on the burgers and not on the antennas! We will learn how to build simple high performance stations allowing you to work many stations. And the burgers? We'll cover that in our cooking forum tomorrow (!?)
